    STUDENTS’ PROBLEM SOLVING ABILITY IN MATHEMATICS: BASIC MATHEMATICS COMPETENCY, SCHOOL LEVEL, AND GENDER

    This research is motivated by the importance of problem solving ability in mathematics. There are three indicators of problem solving ability in mathematics: (1) Identify elements that are known and asked, also adequacy of the required elements; (2) Select and apply problem solving strategies; and (3) Examine and explain the truth of the answers according to mathematical problems in question. Students’ problem solving ability in mathematics be reviewed of three aspects: basic mathematics competency (BMC), school level, and gender. This research involved 232 junior high school students which in Serang City, Banten Province. The research subject consisted of 108 male and 124 female from three different school levels: high, medium, and low level. There are two instruments here: basic mathematics competency test and problem solving ability test. The findings of the research are: (1) Overall, the mean scores of students' problem solving ability in mathematics is 57,18% which classified as medium category; (2) Student with high, medium, and low BMC successively obtained the mean score of problem solving ability 85,66% (high category), 56,34% (medium category), and 29,55% (low category); (3) Student in high, medium, and low school level successively obtained the mean score of problem solving ability 60,84% (medium category), 58,13% (medium category), and 52,55% (low category); (4) Male and female student successively obtained the mean score of problem solving ability 50,76% (medium category) and 63,61% (medium category).     This study is motivated by the importance of mathematical self-esteem. The main purpose of this study is to describe students’ mathematical self-esteem. This study involved 125 junior high school students in Serang City, Banten Province. The results of this study revealed that the mean scores of mathematical self -esteem obtained by the students is only 43 and the highest score is only 54, while the ideal maximum score is 80.     Salah satu dampak dari laju meningkatnya jumlah kendaraan adalah permasalahan sampah  ban bekas. Salah satu alternatif penanganan limbah ban ini adalah dengan cara dibuat lembaran untuk perkuatan fondasi pada tanah lempung. Untuk mendapatkan sifat mekanis ban dan komposit tanah-ban dilakukan uji eksperimen di laboratorium. Uji Tarik spesimen ban dilakukan di laboratorium polimer Pusat Penelitian Fisika LIPI dan uji geser langsung dan uji tekan bebas komposit tanah-ban dilakukan di Laboratorium Mekanika Tanah UNDIP. Sebagai pembanding terhadap parameter hasil pengujian geser langsung dan UCS komposit tanah-ban dilakukan uji yang sama terhadap komposit tanah-geotekstil type BW 150 (woven). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tebal sambungan efektif untuk Lembaran ban adalah 4 cm. Hasil uji geser langsung komposit-tanah menyatakan terjadi perubahan pada parameter geser komposit-tanah, yaitu terjadi reduksi kohesi dan peningkataan sudut gesek dalam secara signifikan. Hasil uji UCS komposit tanah menyatakan tegangan aksial mengalami penurunan namun regangan aksial meningkat secara significant dengan demikiam material komposit tanah-ban lebih daktail dibandingkan komposit tanah-geotekstil

    This research were aimed to describe student activeness in math's geometry curved side using classroom action research and with Teams Games Tournament Subject model. Placed in IX H grade SMP Negeri 1 Ciruas. Data association instrument is using Crossword Puzzle and student activness quotioner. This action research has some steps: pre-Cycle, Cycle I and Cycle II based on the result of this research, may concluded students activeness were enhanced in math this action research, 90% students agreed that using Teams Games Tournament learning model, with help of crossword puzzle was very exciting and helping students in order of understanding topic. Based on the result, may concluded that applying Teams Games Tournament learning model could enhance student activeness in learning maths

    Kurikulum Merdeka adalah kurikulum yang memuat pembelajaran intrakurikuler yang  beragam sehingga dapat menigkatkan kreativitas dan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Dalam proses pembelajarannya, guru memiliki kebebasan dalam memilih perangkat pembelajaran yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan gaya belajar peserta didik. Salah satu mata pelajaran yang terdapat dalam Kurikulum merdeka yaitu mata pelajaran IPA. Pada proses penerepannya terdapat beberapa problematika. Sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan problematika hasil implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka pada Mata Pelajaran IPA di SMP. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang akan dilakukan dalam penelitian ini meliputi wawancara. Lembar wawancara digunakan untuk memperoleh informasi dari kepala sekolah, wakasek bidang kurikulum, dan guru mata pelajaran IPA. Hasil penelitiannya yaitu penerapan kurikulum merdeka khususnya dalam pembelajaran IPA belum dapat diterapkan secara efektif dan efisien. Hal ini lembaga pendidikan perlu menyediakan pelatihan dan bimbingan secara intensif kepada guru untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru terkait Kurikulum Merdeka

    Pengembangan Media Pembelajaran E-Modul Interaktif Berbantuan Aplikasi Anyflip Pada Materi Lingkaran Untuk Siswa SMP

    Penelitian yang dilakukan memiliki tujuan yaitu mengembangkan media pembelajaran e-modul interaktif berbantuan aplikasi anyflip pada materi lingkaran SMP dan mengetahui kevalidan serta keefektifan penggunaan e-modul pada saat pembelajaran daring. Penelitian pengembangan ini menerapkan model penelitian 4-D, namun dalam pengembangannya hanya pada tahap 3-D yang meliputi: tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perancangan (design), dan tahap pengembangan media (develop). Penelitian ini meliputi uji validitas pakar media oleh dosen ahli, uji validitas pakar materi oleh guru matematika SMP dan uji percobaan produk oleh siswa sebanyak 10 orang. Hasil akhir yang diperoleh pada uji validitas ahli media yaitu dengan persentase nilai 73% dengan keterangan bahwa e-modul ini cukup valid dan revisi secukupnya. Hasil akhir yang diperoleh dari ahli materi yaitu dengan persentase nilai 86,25% dengan keterangan bahwa e-modul valid dan tidak revisi. Hasil akhir untuk uji coba produk diperoleh hasil persentase nilai 77,75% dengan keterangan bahwa e-modul efektif. Sehingga pengembangan media pembelajaran E-modul Interaktif berbantuan aplikasi anyflip pada materi lingkaran efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaraan saat proses pembelajaran daring

    This research focuses on the challenges faced by students in solving mathematical story problems, especially in converting keywords into mathematical symbols. Factors such as students' initial abilities, attitudes towards mathematics, motivation and self-confidence to learn, as well as teachers' behavior and ability to teach and creativity in providing and solving problems, all contribute to these difficulties. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach and literature study. Some solutions that can be applied to reduce these difficulties include: 1) Teachers need to change teaching methods and learn how to motivate students, 2) Students need to improve their mathematical literacy skills, 3) Teachers can learn from their colleagues who have succeeded in implementing mathematical problem solving, 4) Active student participation is very important for successful problem solving, and 5) Teachers are expected to study learning models and then apply them in classroom management

    Priority Mapping for Handling Environmental Road Using GIS in Gerung District, West Lombok Regency

    Improving road access is very important to support human activities. One of them is improving the quality of environmental roads in Gerung District, West Lombok Regency. To make it with the availability of funds which cannot cover the entire segment in one time, that’s why priority handling is needed. This paper intends to determine the number of environmental roads in Gerung District; to know the priority of handling with SDI survey; and create a handling priority map using GIS. Based on the results, it was found that the number of environmental roads in Gerung District was 987 sections spread over 11 villages and 3 sub-districts. Handling priority of environmental road determined by the classification of road conditions as follows: good, medium, lightly damaged and heavily damaged. The number of roads based on this classification are: 568 segments for good condition; 131 segments for medium conditions; 200 segments for lightly damage; and 88 sections for heavily damaged conditions. In the map, each road segment assigned with colour identity according to its conditions and handling priorities using QGIS. The colour identities are: yellow for good condition; orange for medium conditions; red for lightly damaged conditions; and maroon for heavily damaged conditions. &nbsp

    PENGARUH KEPERCAYAAN DIRI TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS MATEMATIS SISWA SMP

    Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini mengambil subjek kelas VII-I SMP Negeri 1 Ciruas sebanyak 31 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu istrumen tes dan non tes. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis sebanyak 4 soal dan angket kepercayaan diri siswa sebanyak 25 pernyataan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa, pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa SMP sebesar 57,3%, sedangkan 42,7% dipengaruhi oleh faktor selain kepercayaan diri siswa
